Your base

A garden between
major climbing areas.

Geyikbayırı near Antalya to the north, Olympos to the south – and Kemer in between, with its own climbing history. At Erendiz, you can combine days on the rock with the sea, excursions and peace in the garden.

Florian is a passionate climber and previously ran beginner courses. With this experience, we would like to offer orientation and bring together people who want to develop Kemer’s climbing opportunities further.

Canyon · information sought

Kesme Boğazı / Kuzdere

The gorge inland is part of Kemer’s outdoor landscape. We were unable to confirm a current, reliable list of bolted sport-climbing routes.

Göynük Canyon

The operator offers body rafting and canyon activities, among other things. This complements a climbing holiday; it is not a confirmed independent sport-climbing crag.

Coordinate activities, water conditions and access with the operator.

Other regional names include Akyarlar, Beldibi, Hacımustafalar and the Feslekan Yayla bouldering area. We still lack sufficiently verified current detailed information for a visit; they are not confirmed Erendiz excursion options.

This is not yet a photo topo. We need to confirm the crag and viewing angle in this archive photograph before adding route lines.

Historical status: March 2001

Helmut Paul’s guide lists 35 routes and variants. Select a summit to browse its routes. Names, UIAA grades and lengths are taken from the historical source; they do not establish the present condition of bolts or descents.

The 2000 SBB report names Helmut Paul and Manfred Vogel as key route developers. A special connection between Kemer and the Saxon climbing scene.

Ten sectors in the printed guidebook

The additional book pages provide a more detailed breakdown: ten sectors with numbers up to 65. These also include projects and variations. The numbering is therefore not a confirmed count of routes that can be climbed today.

For Nordriss and Talseite, the book also specifies mobile protection. Low grades alone do not make a route suitable for beginners. The information in the book does not establish the current condition of the protection.

Three grades are inconsistent across the book pages: No. 24 is listed as 5a+ in the table but 5b+ on the line; No. 44 is shown as 4b and 4b+ respectively; No. 60 as 5a and 5b respectively. We explicitly leave these details unresolved. The book’s grading notation is not converted into the UIAA scale used in the older directory.

From an idea to a stay that suits you

Well planned starts
with your experience.

First days outdoors

Tell us whether you are new to rock climbing or already climb indoors. For instruction, equipment and the choice of suitable routes, you need a specifically confirmed offer from an appropriate provider.

Your own climbing party

Plan with an up-to-date guidebook, local condition information and enough time for the journey. The UIAA scale in the historical Karataş guidebook is not the same as the French scale used in sport-climbing areas.

Take a break too

A day in the garden, a walk or a trip to Phaselis brings variety. A fixed base is particularly practical when not everyone travelling with you climbs.

Invitation to help shape what comes next

You know the rock.
We know Kemer.

We are looking for experienced route developers, rebolters and people with local knowledge. Florian climbs himself; we would like to use our good contacts with the municipality to discuss possible steps together.

Bring your experience, topo references and ideas for maintenance and access. For now, we are gathering interest. Any new bolting work requires the necessary consent and professional coordination.

Before your climbing holiday

Does Florian offer climbing courses today?

Florian climbs himself and previously ran beginner courses. Current courses or guided days are not a fixed Erendiz offering. We can discuss what you are looking for; the provider, date, equipment and qualifications must be confirmed for a specific offer.

Which season is right for climbing?

Spring and autumn are good starting points for planning. Summer heat, shade, altitude and rain can significantly change the possibilities. Suitable days are possible in winter, but there is no weather guarantee. Choose the specific sector according to the weather, conditions and current local information.

Can I reach all the areas by bus?

Our bus guide helps you travel along the coast. Further journeys and walks may be needed to reach a climbing sector. Plan both the outward and return journey for the specific start point; a regular Erendiz climbing shuttle is not promised.

Is this page a topo or a safety clearance?

This page provides travel orientation. For individual routes, you need an up-to-date climbing guide and local information on condition, access and any possible restrictions. Historical route information does not confirm present-day conditions.

Can I bolt new routes here?

This call is intended to encourage exchange with experienced route developers and rebolters. Before any work takes place, consent, local responsibilities, nature conservation, climbing ethics and future maintenance must be clarified. This call does not grant permission to bolt.
