KEMER · ANTALYA · FILM PRODUCTION

Plan first. Film next. Fly only when cleared.

Practical orientation for productions in Kemer. Requirements depend on the production, nationality, location, aircraft and purpose of the operation.

Researched 5 October 2026. Planning guidance; current rules and the specific authority decision take precedence.

01

Permits for foreign productions

Foreign film, TV, advertising and documentary productions apply to the Directorate General of Cinema for a filming permit. The ministry requires at least one Turkish host during filming.

Locations have their own conditions

A general filming permit does not replace every location consent. Museums and archaeological sites may require additional coordination. Check the owner, responsible authority and access conditions before scheduling.

03

A small drone is not a free pass

SHGM explicitly describes a permit procedure for commercial flights below 500 grams. Check registration, pilot credentials, insurance and flight authorisation requirements for the specific operation. Foreign pilot credentials are not automatically valid.

04

Foreign drone pilots: allow lead time

SHGM’s 2020 notice for foreign operators and pilots specifies an application through diplomatic channels 20 working days in advance. This is not a permit guarantee; confirm the current procedure and deadline before travelling.

Check entry & equipment separately

A filming permit does not automatically settle visa, work or customs matters. Check nationality, purpose of stay and equipment with the relevant authorities before departure.
