Commitment to Inclusion
Erendiz Garden Hotel is looking for partners to support people with disabilities. Mrs Erendiz has personally supported social causes and charitable organisations for many years, including the Turkish Association for People with Disabilities, the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and the Turkish Women's Federation.
On 9 July, the Erendiz Garden Hotel team visited the Association for the Blind at its clubhouse in Antalya, working closely with the local community and Mayor Necati Topaloğlu. The delegation spent a warm and sociable day with the association's chairwomen, Mrs Figen Yıldırım and Mrs Hacer Akdağ, and many of its members. The hosts welcomed the team with Aşure, a traditional dessert associated with community and togetherness.
A Wake-Up Call for Greater Social Participation
Alongside the happy moments, the meeting also prompted reflection. One comment by Mr Özgür Koca moved everyone present and challenged us to think about the barriers people still face:
"Unfortunately, we people with disabilities are often at the margins of society."
His words show how much work remains to achieve meaningful inclusion. They also encourage Erendiz Garden Hotel to strengthen its own commitment.
